Having read with interest that the Act is coming in, and have been engaged in a lot of debate with the TrustedLand community on whether it would help property development, I asked Google’s Notebook LM to provide a summary of the New Bill

“The Planning and Infrastructure Act 2025 streamlines local planning decisions primarily by reforming how decisions are delegated, professionalizing planning committees, and modifying the funding structure for Local Planning Authorities (LPAs).”

Infographic outlining the UK’s Planning & Infrastructure Act 2025, highlighting key areas such as critical infrastructure, strategic planning, energy savings, and community support.

I read with hope that it would speed up planning but the devil is in the detail as to what schemes will be delegated and which will still require committees. Better qualified committees can only be a good thing right?

The plan is then to present this to to major political parties to help shape policy.
